An exhibition about Sustainable Timber Construction in Germany is being shown at Coventry Cathedral in February.
Wood is once more becoming popular for buildings in Europe. The exhibition shows exemplary construction projects using timber as structural building material.
From residential buildings and kindergartens to commercial buildings and even an airship hangar, the exhibition demonstrates how innovative timber construction, drawing on Central German expertise, is setting new standards.

The exhibition was initiated by the Association for Sustainable Planning, Building and Certification of the Saxon Architects Chamber in collaboration with the Architects Chambers of Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. The exhibition aims to promote building with timber.
The Coventry University Built Environment Department [CUBE] is pleased to bring this exhibition to the city.

The exhibition will run from Thursday 5th February – Tuesday 3rd March 2026
The exhibition can be visited during the Cathedral opening hours, which are Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 16:00 and Sunday 12:00 to 15:30.
Opening hours may change due to services and events, sometimes at short notice. It is strongly recommended that you check the official calendar on the Coventry Cathedral website for closures or changes to visiting hours before your visit.
